What is Residential Care?

Residential care is the most suitable care type for individuals who are able to live their lives independently to some degree, but need some assistance with their personal care or mobility. Those who struggle with everyday chores will be free of housekeeping duties when they move to a residential care home. Every day we strive to enhance our resident’s well-being by providing an array of luxury facilities and engaging activities in a supportive setting.

Our residential care home offers a comfortable and sophisticated way of living where residents can take advantage of the social opportunities that group living provides while retaining an element of independence throughout the home. Residents can relax knowing that all housekeeping duties are taken care of and delicious meals are prepared and served by our kitchen staff.

Residential Care at Kingsacre Care Home

At Kingsacre Care Home, we want to highlight the fact that living in a residential care facility shouldn’t be considered as a last resort as this is simply not the case. Moving to a care home brings a host of positives to one’s life. It promises companionship and reduces the stresses that daily life brings alongside the struggles of getting older. It allows people to pursue their interests and do the things that matter most to them while we take care of everything else.

Like with all our other types of care, we create a personalised care plan for every individual based on their likes, dislikes, interests and preferences. Care packages will also involve residents and their families to ensure its accurately reflecting their expectations. They will then be regularly assessed and if needs be, amended to ensure residents’ care needs are always being met.

A nurse will be assigned to each resident, who will be able to gain a full understanding of a resident’s needs and interests in order to provide the highest quality of care and support. Our nurses will continually assess residents’ needs and adjust care plans if and when required.
