At Kingsacre Care Home, we recently hosted a week-long celebration to honour the dedication and hard work of our carers and nurses, bringing together residents, staff and the local community in a series of uplifting events.

The festivities kicked off with Glad to Care Week, which began on Motivational Monday. Our management team, led by their personal trainer, engaged staff in light exercise sessions, setting a positive tone for the week ahead. This initiative was aimed at boosting morale and encouraging a healthy lifestyle among our carers, who tirelessly support our residents every day.

As the week progressed, Thankful Thursday offered a heartfelt opportunity for our residents to express their gratitude. Many shared touching stories and words of appreciation for the compassionate care they receive. This day highlighted the strong bonds formed within our community and the profound impact our staff have on the lives of those they care for.

Glad to Care Week was marked by Feel Good Friday, featuring a lively silent disco hosted by “Ya Dancer Silent Discos.” Residents, staff and even some family members wore headphones and danced to their favourite tunes, creating a joyous atmosphere that left everyone beaming with happiness.

In addition to these celebrations, Kingsacre Care Home in West Dunbartonshire also observed International Nurses Day, an important occasion to recognise the vital role our nursing staff play. From seasoned professionals to dedicated students gaining invaluable experience, our nurses are the backbone of our care home. Their expertise, compassion and commitment to excellence ensure that our residents receive the highest standard of care.

Throughout the week, we were reminded of the importance of appreciating our carers and nurses, whose unwavering dedication makes Kingsacre a warm and supportive home for all. We are incredibly grateful for their hard work and the positive difference they make each day.

As we reflect on the success of Glad to Care Week and International Nurses Day, we look forward to continuing our efforts to support and celebrate the exceptional team at Kingsacre Care Home. Their passion and resilience are truly inspiring and we are proud to have such a remarkable group of individuals caring for our residents.
