Embracing the Lunar New Year: A Festive Celebration
The celebration of the Chinese New Year was held on Saturday 10th February, 2024 and this year, it marked the year of the dragon.
Here at Kingsacre Care Home in Clydebank, we celebrated the Chinese New Year in aid of learning about the culture of our newest resident Sai-Wah. Sai-Wah's family also came over to celebrate with us, gifting all our residents with fortune cookies for the New Year.
Our residents enjoyed a special dinner which included spring rolls, prawn toast, chicken fried rice and pineapple fritters. Everyone immersed themselves in our new gentlemen's culture, allowing everyone to celebrate with him and his family.
There were many benefits to this wonderful celebration, it allowed Sai-Wah to settle into our care home in the best way possible, ensuring we met all of his needs. It also allowed our residents to learn more about the Chinese New Year and welcome our new resident into the Kingsacre Community.
If you'd like to see what else we get up to within our care home, take a look at some of our other news articles and please don't don't hesitate to get in touch.
