With Halloween fast approaching, the residents of Kingsacre Care Home in West Dunbartonshire are diving into the spooky season. Residents have been busy making an array of masks in preparation for their upcoming Halloween party.

The arts and crafts session took place in one of the home's communal areas, which sparked a sense of excitement among the residents. There were tales of past Halloweens as the residents shared their stories and experiences, bringing a sense of nostalgia.

On 31st October, the festivities kicked off in the early afternoon with everyone dressed up in their spookiest costumes.

The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the costume contest. Residents, loved ones and staff had been planning their costumes for weeks, and it showed. From classic witches and vampires to creative interpretations of their favourite movie characters, the costumes were impressive.

The party continued with a spooktacular tea time, featuring a bewitching array of themed treats. The home was decorated with cobwebs, skeletons, and eerie decorations, creating a truly immersive experience.

To add to the fun, the day was filled with engaging Halloween-themed activities. Everyone enjoyed the disco with lots of singing and dancing to finish the evening, with both residents and staff showing off their dance moves.

The staff at Kingsacre Care Home has put a tremendous amount of thought and effort into making this Halloween celebration a success. The event not only provided entertainment but also strengthened the sense of community among residents, staff, and their families.
