#GladtoCare Awareness Week is a joyous occasion dedicated to celebrating the unwavering dedication of care workers, especially during challenging times. It serves as a tribute to the exceptional contributions our staff make in enhancing the lives of those receiving care and offers reassurance to families seeking care services.

Residents and staff were invited to participate in various sessions and activities, encouraging everyone at the home to join us in any way they can, as we come together to appreciate and raise awareness about our incredible care workers.

This year's GladtoCare is centered around well-being, featuring a special well-being day, laughter yoga, and an overall feel-good mentality throughout the week. It is an opportunity to focus on nurturing the physical and emotional wellness of both care workers and care recipients.

The week allowed us to take time for staff and really celebrate the work that they do while celebrating alongside our residents.

We took part in the following days: Motivational Monday, Tasty Tuesday, Wellbeing Wednesday, Thankful Thursday, Feel good Friday. Each day brought a different activity and conversation.

Residents and staff took part in karaoke, dancing, pamper sessions, meditation, decorating biscuits and more.

On Thankful Thursday, residents and staff wrote on whiteboards what they were thankful for, and it was wonderful to see residents showing their thankfulness towards staff.

Glad to Care week has been a big success and has brought the community at Kingsacre Nursing Home in Clydebank even closer together. Thank you to all the staff that contributed their time in organising the events and activities.
