Sometimes, there really is nothing better than getting yourself lost in a book. Looking up from the pages, spotting that the sun’s gone down and realising a good few hours have passed by is one of the best feelings in the world, and at Kingsacre Care Home, we must admit that it’s one of our favourite things to do. We have plenty of seats and comfortable designated reading areas here at Kingsacre Care Home, so if you’d like somewhere quiet and tranquil to get a fair few pages read, you’ve certainly found the right place.

We want each and every one of our residents to see our libraries as a place they can visit to escape the monotony of day-to-day life. After all, many people see reading as the best form of escapism. Our teams at Kingsacre Care Home actively encourage all of our residents to visit our libraries regularly and check themselves out a book. Reading, and doing so continuously, can make an enormous difference when it comes to improving mental health, socialisation skills and continuing to live an independent lifestyle. Our library holds a variety of book titles, from thrillers to romantic novels. Residents also have access to newspapers and magazines and subscriptions can be arranged.

We are always adding new reading materials to the library and we also receive a lot of donations from residents, relatives, and local companies which we are thankful for.

Our library has been purposefully built to provide residents with a relaxing and comfortable setting, with various armchairs and side tables to utilise.
